Edit: And yes I am aware of the error on Stage 3's leg from when I had to copy/paste on to the main portion of the drawing via photoshop. I plan on editing that tomorrow!

Ahem...

This was actually a tad bit of a nightmare, ya know? All that detail! :faint:

This is the first time I've drawn (And colored) all the stages that led up to the Sailor Callisto that you guys know today.

Stage 1- The first form of Callisto, back when she still had odangos. And she was black and red! There was barely a speck of purple on her outfit, and the cloak was strongly inspired by Sailor Cosmos, but the opposite of Cosmos' transparent lilac-ish cloak. Even the staff she bears is different from what she uses now, silvery-gray, with the heart and star on the top with wings. The other colors of her outfit then represented each of the Sailor Senshi in her team. As the Sailor Senshi of Death, and in her final form, she also had black wings with a blood red hue, or sheen, to them. I was rather fond of this design, even though it never made it as Sailor Callisto's current form. So I decided to make her a Senshi in and of herself, representing the unseen guardian of the Gates to Hades/AKA Hell. As Sailor Pluto is the Guardian to the Gates of the Time/Space Continuum, this Senshi is the Unseen Guardian to the Gates of Hades/Hell.

Stage two- Another nearly entirely new redesign of Sailor Callisto at this point. I still had a 'thing' for odangoed Senshi, and passed that style on to this 'level'.This was closer to Callisto's 'final' look, or at least her 'Super' form final look, I would just have to make a few tweaks to the design later on.

Stage Three- This one actually made it into the story. Colors and all. Each color represents the 'final' team, and would disappear as a member of said team is revived, and joins her in her fight. I call this the 'Pre-Awakened Callisto Form' for a reason. Her true form does not appear until she regains her memories of her past life, and her team is 'nearly' complete. The scepter she carries also goes into her 'final form', though she doesn't carry it in the next pose.

Final Stage- As the title suggest, this is the final stage of her outfit development. And you guys can see now how different from the rest of her forms she is here. While it looks plainer, it actually works quite well, and is more true to the "Sailor Moon Universe" So to speak, fashion wise. Apart from her Stage Three form, which is more or less inspired by Sailor V. Here, in her Final Stage though, she is still the Goddess of Death, though more toned down and not so obvious about it. I kept the pink bows from Stage 2 and 3, and just darkened her hair bow to Process Red, shaded with Crimson. I am quite proud of how she looks these days, as you guys could probably tell. It also took me quite a number of years to reach this point where I was settled on her design. In fact, aspects of her Stage 2 design have been moved on to her 'Super' form. Those who have been watching my Sailor Callisto art would probably be able to tell which parts I've carried on to which level of her transformation, from Basic, to Super and Eternal.
